What to Do When ECU Upgrade Fails

Step 1: Verify Compatibility Before Starting the ECU Upgrade

Before performing an ECU upgrade, confirm that the upgrade is appropriate for the vehicle by checking the following:

  1. Technical Service Bulletin (TSB):

    • Refer to the relevant TSB to ensure the update applies to the vehicle.
  2. ROM ID and Part Number:

    • Verify that the ROM ID and part number match the requirements for the update.
  3. Vehicle Details:

    • Double-check the powertrain, model year, and specific vehicle model to confirm compatibility.

Proceed with the upgrade only after verifying these details. Skipping this step may result in an upgrade failure or improper operation.

Submit the error log report through the function of Log Collection:

  1. Access Configuration > Error Log Collection:

  2. Navigate Myfiles > Internal storage > nvcidata > log > ecu
  3. Compress "ecu" folder or selectively compress log files not to exceed 20MB total.
  4. Send the Error Log Report referring the video guide
