'Object reference not set to an instance of an object.' occurs after installing Smart Dlogger

Symptom: 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object.' after installing Smart Dlogger Unable to execute after occurrence

Cause and solution

1. This can happen when C drive does not have write permission due to PC security issues. Contact your IT department and grant write access to the following folders and programs.

-> Give write permission to 'C:\Program Files (x86)\GDS Inside2" and 'SmartDLogger.lnk'

2. It occurs when the Microsoft Visual Studio C++ 2010 redistribution package is not properly installed. Even if it is installed, it may be broken by external factors, so reinstallation is required.

-> Install the redistribution package in the following order. If you have a 32bit OS, you need to install x86, and if you have a 64bit OS, you need to install x86 and then x64.

1) Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package
2) Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable Package

Redistribution packages can be found in the following path.

 C:Program Files (x86) > GDS inside2 > SmartDLogger > Drivers > vcredist

3. When the Windows account itself logs in to Windows as a general user without administrator privileges, regardless of steps 1 and 2 above, only the 'shortcut on the desktop' cannot be executed.

-> Run SmartDLogger.exe directly in the Smart Dlogger installation path (C:\Program Files (x86)\GDS inside2\SmartDLogger), or right-click and proceed with 'Create Shortcut' to replace the desktop shortcut. run after.
