The article explains how to create, save, submit, and manage TQR reports in GDS Smart, detailing required vehicle info, attaching evidence, and entering problem codes. It covers transmission, status tracking (In Progress, Pending Approval, Rejected, Accepted), and restrictions on editing based on status. Attached files must stay under 300MB, and rejected reports can be rewritten.
1. How to Create a New TQR
1-1. Enter Basic Vehicle Information
When creating a new TQR (Create New) in GDS Smart, the following information must be entered:
- VIN
- Mileage
- Model
- Model Year
- Engine Displacement
- Repair Date
1-2. Select Attached Contents
You can select and attach the following evidence items:
- Camera (Image)
- Voice Recording
- Sensors
- Freeze Frame Data
💡 Note: Attached files are saved in the Device Local Storage. The maximum capacity limit for Attached Contents is 300MB.
1-3. Enter Problem Information (NC Code / DTC Input)
Enter the specific problem details and relevant codes:
- Problem Symptom / Cause: Select the applicable Nature and Cause Code.
- Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC): Input the related DTCs.
- Technician Comments: Provide detailed comments regarding the issue.
2. Save, Submit, and Transmission
2-1. Temporary Save
You can use the Draft (Temporary Save) function to conditionally save your progress while writing the report.
2-2. Submit
The Submit button becomes active only when all transmission conditions are met. Clicking Submit initiates the TQR data transmission.
3. Status Check and Management (TQR Status View)
3-1. View Submission List
You can search your submitted TQRs using the Diagnosis Number or VIN.
3-2. Understanding Status Categories
TQRs are managed under four specific statuses:
- In Progress: The report is currently being written or processed.
- Pending Approval: Transmission to the GQIS server is complete, and it is waiting for the TQR Administrator's approval.
- Rejected: The TQR report acceptance is rejected and discarded. You can perform a Rewrite / Reuse from the detail screen.
- Accepted (Approve): The TQR report is successfully accepted. It is then transferred to the QIR Management Process, and the 'Accepted' status is sent to the TQR relay server.
3-3. Check Sending / Receiving Status
You can monitor the overall progress via the Sending Status and Receiving Status menus.
4. Important Notes
⚠️ Essential Restrictions Based on Status
- Pending Approval: Modification and deletion are NOT allowed.
- Accepted (Approved): Modification and deletion are NOT allowed.
- Rejected: Modification (Rewrite / Reuse) is ONLY possible when the status is Rejected.
- Capacity Limit: Please ensure your total attached contents do not exceed the 300MB limit.
