The PIM(Mini VCI) module is not found.
Checking Supported Modules and Troubleshooting Connection Issues
-
Preliminary check: Please check the supported modules by region and inspection menu in the support table above.
-
VCI II(2) official Bluetooth pairing PIN number (supported regions/menus only): You must enter 0701, not 0000 or 1234, to connect without Code 1029.
-
Resolving VCI III(3) firmware update Code 1999 (supported regions/menus only): As packet loss has occurred due to Bluetooth wireless bandwidth limitations, please connect the tablet and VCI III(3) directly using a wired USB-C cable to update, or complete the firmware update in the diagnostic app (GDS Smart) first, then launch the PDI app.
-
If PIM(Mini VCI) cannot be found, please perform the 3-step check (common to all regions).
- Please allow location (GPS) permission on the tablet and disable power saving mode.
- Please remove the existing PIM(Mini VCI) pairing ([Unpair]) in the Android Bluetooth settings, then scan again.
- If the red power LED on PIM(Mini VCI) does not flash when connected to the OBD port, or Code 2998 recurs, the hardware unit is faulty, so please replace it.
