Error code occurred during ECU upgrade (5021-36-7000)

Symptom: ECU upgrade in progress, error code [5021-36-7000]

Cause: Occurs when the ECU does not respond to the ECU upgrade data transmission command or when the specified time is exceeded

Resolution:

1. It is necessary to check whether the car is equipped with after-market equipment.
2. It is necessary to connect the diagnostic device and check the normal display of the sensor output of the target controller.
3. If the connection status and sensor output are normal, retry the ECU upgrade.

Resolution addition June-27-2024

1. Depending on conditions of the ECU, it might not respond timely when VCI asks for response.
2. Please get help for getting an ECU file set or updates with prolonged response for timeout.
