Error code occurred during ECU upgrade (5021-10-7F22)

Symptom:

ECU upgrade in progress, error code [5021-10-7F22] occurs.

Cause:

This error code indicates that the controller's communication open command was not successful due to unsuitable conditions.

Resolution:

1. Check Vehicle Condition: Ensure the vehicle is in the ignition ON state when attempting the software update. If the vehicle is in the ignition OFF state, switch to the ignition ON state and try again.
2. Upgrade Mode Verification: Verify whether the ECU upgrade was attempted in automatic mode or manual mode.
3. Manual Mode Check: If the upgrade was performed in manual mode, ensure the ECU upgrade was attempted in a category suitable for the controller.
4. Aftermarket Equipment: Check if the vehicle is equipped with any aftermarket equipment that might affect the upgrade process.
