Symptoms
The ECU upgrade stops at 95~99% and the error “7000-31-7F72” is displayed on the screen.
Cause
- The ECU gives a negative response because it does not meet routine execution conditions
Solution
If “7000-31-7F72” is displayed during a DCU-related update, please contact the Automotive Quality Department or the controller manufacturer.
Step 1) Check Vehicle Power Status
Check that the vehicle is in IG ON (engine OFF) status.
If the voltage appears low, it is recommended to use an external power supply device.
Step 2) Remove Aftermarket Devices
Disconnect all aftermarket devices, such as taxi terminals, dashcams, LED signboards, etc., and try again.
This has been identified as the most common cause on site.
Step 3) Perform Vehicle Battery Power Reset
Note: Disconnecting the battery (-) terminal may cause settings to reset in some vehicles.
1) Turn off the vehicle power completely.
2) Disconnect the battery (-) terminal for 5~10 minutes.
3) Reconnect the terminal and try the ECU upgrade again.
Step 4) If Repeatedly Occurring on the Same Model
