Case 1. Test Stage or Function Failure in SW Management
If you are stuck with failures at the Test stage or when performing a function, please take the following steps:
- Workaround A. If the workaround does NOT help you out, log out and log back in while Wi-Fi is connected.
- Workaround B. Try again with another MY (Model Year) or Powertrain.
- Workaround C. Disconnect the 12V battery, wait for 10 minutes, reconnect it, and then retry the function.
If these workarounds don't help you out, please contact your distributor for further support.
Case 2. S/W Management Function Failure
If you encounter a failure message during the S/W Management test or if the function fails to perform after replacing new parts - mainly ECUs and components -, please check the following possible causes and solutions:
1️⃣ Common Reasons for S/W Management Failure
- Security Authentication: log out and log back in while Wi-Fi is connected.
-
Communication Open: check app permissions and allows it all ( GITMCommManagerService and GITN_AUX )
Essential App Permissions Guide: GLUV Logs & Wireless Connectivity Stabilization - Vehicle Condition: Try features in IG ON, Acc, EV Ready each.
2️⃣ Before You Proceed S/W Management
S/W Management function failure may also occur due to incorrect vehicle information selection (Model Year, Powertrain). Please double-check that the selected vehicle information matches the actual vehicle specifications.
If the issue continues, please generate a diagnostic log via the diagnostic app and contact your NSC (Distributor).
How to send the error log report on GDS Smart/KDS2.0
