This guidance applies to a specific region or vehicle model. For general prerequisites, read the document below first.
This article provides guidance on CPO entry criteria for North America (HMA, GMA) and Australia (HMCA), and assessment of age-related deterioration in used vehicles. The applicable models are Hyundai and Genesis JX1(GV80), NX4(Tucson), CN7(Elantra), and DN8(Sonata).
North American CPO Entry Criteria
North America permits CPO entry only for vehicles aged 0~4 years based on the calendar year (CY) and with 60,000 miles or less.
Example: Based on CY2026, a 2021MY GV80 is 5 years old, so CPO is blocked and only the [Aged] route is available.
Australian CPO Entry Criteria
In Australia, CPO entry is available only for VINs approved and registered in advance in the Australian subsidiary's management system.
Assessment of Age-related Deterioration in Used Vehicles
For rear indicator LEDs on used GV80(JX1) vehicles and climate control actuators on Tucson(NX4) and Elantra(CN7) vehicles, current consumption may be measured lower (1.6~2.0A) than the new vehicle reference value (3.0A) due to component ageing, so proceed as follows.
- After checking individual component actuation using GDS Smart, mark as normal.
