VIN Lookup Unavailable for CKD-Produced Vehicles and DKD Inspection

This guidance applies to a specific region or vehicle model. For general prerequisites, read the document below first.

This document concerns VIN lookup for CKD and DKD vehicles in Hyundai D-PDI and checking the separate distribution of the Chinese vehicle model DB by region for vehicles produced in China. The target regions are Central and South America (Ecuador, Colombia) and CIS (Russia, Kazakhstan).

Target Vehicle Models

  • SU2i PE(Creta CKD)
  • NX4 / MX5(CKD/DKD)
  • DN8C(Sonata produced in China)

Content specific to Kia GPMS is excluded.

VIN Lookup Restrictions by Production Method

  • For Ecuador Creta(SU2i CKD) and Russian CKD-assembled vehicles, VIN lookup in global PDI is fundamentally unavailable because no vehicle shipment information exists at headquarters.
  • In contrast, DKD (semi-finished assembly) vehicles can be looked up using the matching domestic VIN.

Checking Vehicle Model DB Distribution for Vehicles Produced in China

  1. When introducing vehicles produced in China (DN8C) into CIS countries such as Kazakhstan, please check the separate distribution of the Chinese vehicle model DB by region.
