This article provides guidance on service mode entry conditions and resolution procedures for mode switching failures for the Hyundai AX1 EV(Inster EV / Casper Electric) in Europe(HME)·Australia(HMCA).
Service Mode Entry Conditions
For standard electric vehicles (Ioniq 5/6/9, etc.), opening only the bonnet (hood) blocks LDC supplementary charging and allows entry into Factory/Service mode, but due to its controller specifications, the AX1 EV requires both the bonnet (hood) and boot (tailgate) to be fully open to enter service mode.
Symptoms and Resolution Procedure
If you start with only the bonnet open, the mode switching failure pop-up appears repeatedly or the app freezes.
- Start PDI with both the bonnet (hood) and boot (tailgate) fully open.
