Cause
- The ECU gives a negative response because routine execution conditions are not met.
Solution
If “7000-31-7F72” occurs during a DCU-related update, please contact the automotive quality department or the controller manufacturer.
Step 1) Check Vehicle Power Status
Make sure the vehicle is in IG ON (engine OFF) state.
If the voltage appears low, it is recommended to use an external power supply device.
Step 2) Remove Aftermarket Devices
Remove all aftermarket devices such as taxi terminals, dashcams, LED signboards, etc., and try again.
This has been identified as the most common cause in the field.
Step 3) Perform Vehicle Battery Power Reset
Caution: Disconnecting the battery (-) terminal may reset some settings on certain vehicles.
1) Completely turn off the vehicle power.
2) Disconnect the battery (-) terminal for 5~10 minutes.
3) Reconnect the terminal and try the ECU upgrade again.
Step 4) If Repeatedly Occurs on the Same Vehicle Model
