VIN Lookup Unavailable for CKD-Produced Vehicles and DKD Inspection

This guide applies to specific regions or vehicle models. Check the documents below first for general prerequisites.

This document covers VIN lookup for CKD and DKD vehicles in Hyundai D-PDI and verification of separate distribution of the Chinese vehicle model DB by region for vehicles produced in China. The target regions are Latin America (Ecuador, Colombia) and CIS (Russia, Kazakhstan).

Target Vehicle Models

  • SU2i PE(Creta CKD)
  • NX4 / MX5(CKD/DKD)
  • DN8C(Sonata produced in China)

Content exclusively for Kia GPMS is excluded.

VIN Lookup Restrictions by Production Method

  • For Ecuador Creta(SU2i CKD) and vehicles assembled as CKD in Russia, VIN lookup is inherently unavailable in global PDI because no vehicle shipment information from headquarters exists.
  • In contrast, DKD (semi-finished product assembly) vehicles can be looked up using the matching domestic VIN.

Verifying Vehicle Model DB Distribution for Vehicles Produced in China

  1. When introducing vehicles produced in China (DN8C) into CIS regions such as Kazakhstan, please verify separate distribution of the Chinese vehicle model DB by region.
