REVISION: Tab S9 Series now supports KDS 2.0 on Android OS16, effective from NOV 13th 2025 (KST).
REVISION: Tab S10 Series and Tap Active 5 Pro now supports GENESIS Smart on Android OS16, effective from DEC 22th 2025 (KST).
Not affected / Safe:
Tab S7 / S7+ / S7 FE and older models (do not support OS16) — no OS16 rollout expected. No action required.

HOW TO DISABLE AUTOMATIC UPDATE
A. Samsung System (OS) Updates
- Open Settings → Software update.
- Turn Auto download over Wi-Fi (or Download updates automatically) OFF.
- If visible, turn Auto install updatesOFF as well.
B. Managed Devices (MDM/EMM)
- Push a policy to block OS16 and defer system updates.
- Lock auto-update related toggles and restrict user override.
* Menu names can vary slightly by model/region. If an option is not
visible, it may be controlled by your organization’s policy or appear
under a different label.

▶ Android does not support major-version downgrades. A device upgraded to OS16 cannot be reverted to OS15 or earlier.
