This article provides the procedure for resolving failure to enter the Vehicle Condition Check / Entry Check for all vehicle models in the Hyundai·Genesis PDI app.
Symptoms
When entering the vehicle condition check (Vehicle Condition Check / Entry Check), a "Conditions are not met" or "Failed to check the vehicle because Engine ON or Operating electrical features (Code: 2994 / 2995 / 2996)" pop-up appears, and the process does not proceed to the next step.
The battery current (Battery Current) exceeds the permitted range (10~18A) (e.g. 20.8A), or the actual value (Actual) is displayed as 0.00A or blank.
Resolution procedure
-
Check the required vehicle power state (IG ON & Engine OFF). Perform the PDI entry and current load checks in the IG ON state, with the engine off, by pressing the start (
Start) button 2 times without pressing the brake.Entry is blocked if the engine is running or an external rapid charger is connected and the voltage is 13.9V or higher.
-
Switch all vehicle electrical loads OFF. Turn off the headlamp/tail lamp switch (disable
Autoand set it to theOFFposition), air conditioning/heater blower, seat heating/ventilation, audio and interior lights, close all doors, then wait 1~2 minutes for the current to stabilise before starting. -
Check the charging criteria for vehicles with low voltage or an over-discharged battery. For vehicles with a battery voltage below 11.8V or an over-discharged battery, charge the battery to at least SOC 60~70% using an external charger before proceeding with the inspection.
-
Check the IBS sensor if the current continues to display 0.00A. If the voltage is normal but only the current remains fixed at 0.00A, disconnect and reconnect the battery negative (-) terminal (Cap Discharge) to reset controller noise. If the issue persists, perform battery sensor (IBS) calibration or an IBS component inspection in [Additional Functions] of the diagnostic tool (GDS Smart).
-
If NG is returned during the automatic inspection, some items may be false positives.
CHECKitems for systems that are not fitted can be ignored. If it is difficult to judge, obtain the logs, forward them to head office and leave an inspection record.
