๐ SCU Neutralization Procedure Manual
1. Purpose
To safely and correctly perform neutralization of the SCU after removal or for diagnostic purposes, ensuring proper operation of the vehicle.
2. Preparations

Vehicle with SCU to be neutralized
-
Diagnostic device with functions;IBU-SMK or BDC-SMK
-
Vehicle key
3. Procedure
3-1. Perform Neutralization in IG OFF State
-
Set the vehicle ignition (IG) to OFF.

Using the diagnostic tool, access the SCU Neutralization function via IBU-SMK or BDC-SMK.

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the neutralization process.
3-2. Wait for Vehicle to Enter Sleep Mode

After confirming the completion message, do NOT change the vehicle's power state.

Wait for the vehicle to enter sleep mode without any additional operation, ensuring the following conditions:

All doors must remain closed

Door lock must be maintained

3-3. Verify Successful Neutralization

Check the instrument cluster and confirm that the gear position (P) indicator is turned OFF.
4. Caution
-
Do NOT turn the ignition ON before confirming that the gear indicator (P) is OFF on the cluster.

If the ignition is turned ON prematurely, SCU neutralization will be incomplete and must be redone.

If a door is opened or the vehicle is unlocked during the waiting period, sleep mode may fail, invalidating the neutralization.
