After launching GDS Smart, check the VCI connection status (Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth, wired) and then enter [Vehicle Selection].
2. Select the region menu at the top left to choose the export country destination of the vehicle to be diagnosed/upgraded.
Example:
A)If a vehicle was manufactured in Korea and sold to a consumer in the USA,
select USA for diagnosis/upgrade.
B)If a vehicle was manufactured in USA and sold to a consumer in the USA,
select USA for diagnosis/upgrade.
3. Select the vehicle model, then choose the year and engine type, and manually enter the VIN. (If AUTO VIN is available, you can enter the model, year, and engine type using AUTO VIN.)
4. A diagnostic number (VDN) will be generated. After confirming that the vehicle information (model, year, engine type) is correctly selected, enter the ECU Upgrade menu.
5. You can proceed with the ECU upgrade by entering Manual Mode.
If you cannot find the ECU Upgrade you want to perform, please contact us via gitauto.zendesk.com or submit an inquiry through the Inquiry button at the top right of the screen.
When making an inquiry, be sure to provide the vehicle model, year, engine type, and VIN.
