This article provides procedures for resolving failures to enter the Vehicle Condition Check / Entry Check for all vehicle models in the Hyundai·Genesis PDI app.
Symptoms
When entering the vehicle condition check (Vehicle Condition Check / Entry Check), a "Conditions are not met" or "Failed to check the vehicle because Engine ON or Operating electrical features (Code: 2994 / 2995 / 2996)" pop-up appears, and the process does not proceed to the next step.
The battery current (Battery Current) exceeds the allowable limit (10~18A) (e.g., 20.8A), or the actual value (Actual) is displayed as 0.00A or blank.
Resolution Procedure
-
Check the required vehicle power state (IG ON & Engine OFF). Perform the PDI entry and current load checks in the IG ON state, with the engine off, by pressing the start (
Start) button 2 times without pressing the brake.Entry is blocked if the engine is running or if an external fast charger is connected and the voltage is 13.9V or higher.
-
Turn all vehicle electrical loads OFF. Turn off the headlight/taillight switch (disable
Autoand set it to theOFFposition), air conditioner/heater blower, seat heating/ventilation, audio, and interior lights, close all doors, and wait 1~2 minutes for the current to stabilize before starting. -
Check the charging criteria for vehicles with low voltage or overdischarged batteries. For vehicles with a battery voltage below 11.8V or an overdischarged battery, charge the battery with an external charger to a minimum SOC of 60~70% or higher before proceeding with the inspection.
-
Check the IBS sensor if the current continues to display 0.00A. If the voltage is normal but only the current remains fixed at 0.00A, disconnect and reconnect the battery negative (-) terminal (Cap Discharge) to reset controller noise. If the issue persists, perform battery sensor (IBS) calibration or an individual IBS component inspection under [Additional Functions] on the diagnostic tool (GDS Smart).
-
If the automatic inspection returns NG, some items may be false detections. You can ignore
CHECKitems for systems that are not installed. If it is difficult to determine, collect the logs, forward them to headquarters, and keep an inspection record.
Related Cases
